Economic Problems In Indonesia
Economic
Problems In Indonesia
In a country there must
be a government that governs all forms of government, as well as the economy of
a country. In the government of a country of course there are many problems
that must be faced by the country, one of them is is the economic problem. The
economic problems in the country could lead to delays in the welfare and
prosperity of its people. As with the other developing countries, Indonesia
also had to face the economic problems. Indonesia today experiencing a lot of
economic problems, such as poverty, unemployment and economic growth problems
in Indonesia.
The problem of poverty in Indonesia
has become the economic problems that have undermined our economy, if the
poverty problem continues to occur then it could lead to the collapse of the
Indonesian economy. However, according to data written in http://www.bimbingan.org
in an article entitled Masalah Ekonomi Di Indonesia. in the period of September 2012 to March 2013,
the percentage of poor people in urban and rural areas showed decreased. Percentage
of poor people in urban areas in September 2012 was 8.60 percent, down to 8.39
percent in March 2013. While poor people in rural areas decreased from 14.70
percent in September 2012 to 14.32 percent in March 2013. Poverty reduction is
due to the direct support of the government for the development of food and job
opportunities.
As well as with the problems of
poverty, the unemployment rate in Indonesia was also decreased. From the data
written in http://www.bps.go.id
in an article entitled Pada Februari 2013, Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka (TPT)
Sebesar 5,92 Persen. it is known that the number of labor
force in Indonesia in February 2013 reached 121.2 million, increased by 3.1
million people compared to the labor force in August 2012 was 118, 1 million or
an increase of as much as 780 thousand people compared to February 2012. The
population of workers in February 2013 reached 114.0 million, increased by 3.2
million people compared to the state in August 2012 as many as 110.8 million or
an increase of 1.2 million people compared to the state in February 2012. Unemployment
rate in Indonesia in February 2013 reached 5.92 percent, down from an
unemployment rate of 6.14 percent in August 2012 and an unemployment rate of
6.32 percent in February 2012. The decrease in the unemployment problems occurs
because of the government has conducted a number of ways to reduce
unemployment. Several ways have been made to reduce the number of unemployed is
the construction of job opportunities, encourage young people to create job
opportunities for themselves, and provide skills training to improve the
quality of human resources.
However,
the success did not affect the growth of the Indonesian economy, this is
because of our economy is still constrained by the problem of capital and
investment. Just like other developing countries, the majority of the company's
shares in Indonesia is still owned by a foreign state. obviously this is very
detrimental to Indonesia, although Indonesia has abundant natural resources,
outcomes of these natural resources will largely been used by the foreign
country that has a greater share of stock owned by Indonesia. One of them, such
as PT. Freeport in Papua, where the shares are predominantly owned by the
foreign countries.
Besides,
which also became the problem at the moment is for agricultural products. Indonesia
is still importing rice from other countries, while Indonesia is a vast country
with the fertile soil. The problem of economic imbalances also remains a
problem if people look at the state of Indonesia there are people who truly
wealthy, however there are also people who are very poor. To overcome this, it
is necessary to move the agricultural sector in Indonesia. The agricultural
sector which based agro-industry is necessary, where agricultural products are
sold will not only be sold in the raw form but processed first in order to add
value. In addition, the imported goods entering the domestic market need to be
limited by increasing import tariffs. Currently, the Indonesian economy rise
again with the increase in fuel prices. The increase is considered as one of
the methods used to reduce poverty by providing fuel subsidies to communities
in need. However, it should be reviewed further because many of the people the
are already sufficient the gets the subsidy, instead of the poor community.
Therefore,
the economic problems of Indonesia is still need for further action to reduce
their impact and increase oversight of the steps taken by the government to
avoid misdirected to the target which will get the subsidy. (FR)
