Economic Development as Cultural Issues in Indonesia

            At this time, we do not need to extend the importance of economic development for Indonesia. Because our nation hopes the fulfillment of a transformation towards a better life and realization, not just the promises given to the people by the Indonesian governments which only looking for power. So that the strong desire to evolve, but not yet fulfilled. As cited in www.Wartawarga.gunadarma.ac.id , accompanied by a result of the social reforms are so great which we are experiencing. The structure of a closed society can not survive the entry of modern economic life. Village environment is no longer able to guarantee sufficient life and atmosphere, life is perceived as a bind. As a result, the collapse of the old social order, emigration to cities. The desire of farmers to try new ways, or to act on their own to improve their life, among others, by sharing in groups. Viewed from this angle, the issue of independence and the development of an independent country, none other than the rearrange our society at a higher level of production with a more equitable distribution of income. In 2010, Indonesia's economy experienced a a very degenerate because raw material in the rise and the price goes up dramatically which is not accompanied with the income that do not fit.

            There are several reasons to look at the political, therefore there is a wide range of political conditions which must be met before a nation can take the road to economic development. In my opinion, some of the important reasons, beyond the political part, is lack of knowledge about the meaning of economic development for our country, so it is generally less perceived urgency. In addition there is also a lack of knowledge about what is intended with the economic development in their consequences for the lives of each person in their own environment. There is also a lack of insafan that the process of economic development is a process that involves our life in all its parts. Likewise we have not systematically faced the obstacles in our own society on the path toward the economic development, which is rooted in our own culture. Therefore we need to review the problem of economic development in the framework of our national life determination, or in other words, in the context of our culture. That economic development is not a merely economic issue, it can be imagined when we remember that the goals of an economic development plan, its properties, the ratio between capital investment for the manufacture of capital goods investment manufacture consumer goods, determined based on a political decision. So by a decision which is not economical. As well as with the decision about ways of implementing the economic development, for example, about centralization or decentralization, whether the economic development plan to be implemented using the state apparatus alone or by inviting people to participate actively; places and awards given to its own initiative in the formulation and implementation, and personal freedom in it, everything is a the decision that is very closely intertwined in a society's purpose, or, in other words, on the basis of culture.

            So we now may take a few conclusions. Economic development is a process of change that includes the life of a whole community. Economic development means accelerating disintegration old structure of society and accelerate the need to achieve the reintegration of society.
